Packaging is the main element of connection and communication between the consumer, the product and the company. It is one of the main factors that drive product sales. If the packaging does not match the product and does not draw the attention of those who buy it, the consumer is more likely not to notice the product.

Therefore, all packaging must be well thought out and designed in a way that is functional and of quality, according to the specific product. But the importance and functions of product packaging go beyond the simple conservation or transport of products. It is also essential to the company's communication and marketing strategies.

Thus, the "E-Thinking" team, based on its goals and ideas, designed its packaging based on two topics:

Adequacy to the product

Our packaging is intended to be used in the packaging of dried fruits, as given its conservation properties, it is the best choice to be transported in packaging made from mango stones. Therefore, with this purpose in mind, the "E-Thinking" team decided to design a packaging that suits and relates to this type of product. As such, our prototype has a practical and, at the same time, profitable format, which allows the packaging of an ideal amount of dried fruits. In addition, its format allows this to be a package easily transported by people, who can easily consume this "snack".

Furthermore, the presentation of our packaging is based on simplicity, as changing the color of the mango stone and adding ink to the packaging would contribute, after disposal, to the contamination and pollution of the environment.

Environmental impact

Our packaging is made of a material that is discarded by juice producers, the mango stone. This material, when manipulated and transformed, allows the production of biodegradable packaging.

But, there is more!! This packaging can also be reused several times before being discarded, as it has a format that allows the storage of other products after the consume of the dried fruits.

It is in this topic that we find the remaining explanation of the packaging format. In addition to practice, its shape can be quickly associated with an hourglass. Thus, we can make an analogy with the fact that this packaging, due to its characteristics, protects and preserves the environment from plastics and other pollutants, doing its part to save the planet from the rapid destruction that has taken place in recent years.
